Women Who Thryv: Stacie Czech

This month we are featuring our very own, Stacie Czech, co-founder of Thryv Organics in Women Who Thryv. Stacie's entrepreneurial spirit owning several successful businesses with her husband, Dale, and her passion for helping others through her own personal experience with CBD is an inspiration to many. She has a good story to tell and we hope you enjoy learning more about Stacie.

Tell us about your business.

I actually have three businesses. Lakewood Growler and Bluffview Growler, which I run with my husband and Thryv Organics, which I run with my business partner, Kristi Kelley.

Tell us about yourself and your entrepreneurial journey.

I never knew I had a heart for entrepreneurship until my husband (then boyfriend) suggested we hang up our corporate careers and buy a cabin operation in Ruidoso, NM. We sold our houses and bought Apache Village Cabins. We remodeled 22 cabins, increased the revenues, and then sold them 3 years later. We then moved to Wisconsin and became Sport Clips Haircuts franchisees. Wisconsin was just too cold for this Texas girl, so we sold them and moved back to Texas. My husband, Dale’s love of craft beer spurred us to open Lakewood Growler, a craft beer bar, and two years later, we opened Bluffview Growler. Once I discovered that CBD helped my mother manage her pain from Multiple Sclerosis, I felt compelled to start a CBD business so I could help others.

What have been your biggest challenges along the way?

With all of the businesses we’ve had over the years, one thing rings true. You don’t know what you don’t know. You can plan and plan. You can anticipate potential challenges and then BAM - pandemic. There will always be something that comes up that you didn’t expect or prepare for. So now, I make space for the unknown. I know it’s coming, and by accepting that an unknown challenge will present itself, I can remain calm and address those challenges as they come up.

What Thryv product(s) do you use and when do you take your CBD?

My very favorite is our Everyday Softgels. I take them daily. I keep the 900mg Broad Spectrum Mint drops on my nightstand in case I wake up and can’t go back to sleep.

What has your experience with CBD been like?

Overall, my experience has been a great one. I’ve taken many different brands and delivery methods. Everyone will have a different experience, and everyone’s body needs a different amount. Once I found my “sweet spot,” the improvements have been endless.

How has CBD helped you?

I’ve been taking CBD consistently for a year and a half now, and I feel an overall better sense of well-being. I sleep better. I used to have a nagging pain in my wrist and hip and now seldom feel pain in those areas.

Any advice you can share with fellow female entrepreneurs?

I have three things to offer:

  1. Have an unwavering belief in yourself. You will have people question you and discourage you. Let your inner voice be louder than their outer voice.
  2. Become comfortable with “Failure.” Understand that failure paves the road to your success. You will always learn more from failure than you will from your success. Failure is just information. It’s not a character flaw or a sign that you don’t have a great idea. It’s a guide that tells you to “tweak your message” or that what you’re doing isn’t being received, so you need to change something.
  3. Set an Impossible Goal. This goal should make you feel a little sick. But set it anyway. Your brain will start to figure out how to meet this goal. Even if you don’t achieve it, the very act of setting it and working towards it will take you further than if you set a more “realistic” goal.
